Design solution
The layout was organized to balance structured learning with informal collaboration. Level 3 hosts the reception and primary learning spaces (classrooms, training rooms, library, discussion pods, and breakout areas), while the leased portion of Level 4 was adapted for faculty-focused functions such as closed offices, boardroom, and smaller meeting/discussion rooms. The design language stays clean and contemporary, using neutral bases with layered blue tones and targeted ‘kiwi’ yellow accents to support focus, clarity, and productivity.
Design story
The project’s defining narrative was ‘bringing people together in a learning environment’. To physically express that idea, the two floors were linked with a broad internal staircase that becomes both circulation and a social heart. The stepped seating functions as a collaboration hub and informal auditorium, wrapped with integrated LED screens to support presentations and live content. Throughout the academy, identity is embedded in the architecture—such as founders’ names integrated into key elements and a ‘wall of fame’ celebrating future graduates—creating a space that motivates, welcomes, and reinforces purpose.
Outcome
The finished academy delivers a high-quality educational institution with clear wayfinding, strong acoustic comfort, and technology-ready spaces. The central stair and collaboration heart improved connectivity between floors, boosted daily interaction, and created a memorable architectural moment for students, staff, and visitors.
